After four and a half great years, The Kai Kart will be closing its doors for the final time on Friday 3 July. Over the years, the Kai Kart has been so much more than a food cart. It has been a place of learning, connection, opportunity and belonging. It has fuelled our Lane Street neighbours and the wider community with great coffee, delicious food and countless conversations. Like many organisations and businesses across New Zealand, we have felt the impact of the current economic environment.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the Kai Kart so we can focus our resources on the areas where we can make the greatest impact in our community.We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the Kai Kart over the years. Whether you stopped by for a coffee, shared a meal with friends, partnered with us, or simply came in for a chat, thank you. Your support has meant so much and has helped make the Kai Kart what it has been.

While we're saying goodbye to the Kai Kart, our commitment to building a stronger, more connected community remains as strong as ever. We will continue delivering our other programmes and services that support people across the Hutt Valley, and we're excited about the opportunities ahead.If you'd like to join us for one last coffee, snack or meal, we'd love to see you before we close on Friday 3 July.
